As part of our ongoing commitment to excellence, Kingston State College is proud to offer scholarships for the school year. These scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding achievement, leadership, and commitment to our core values.
What Does the Scholarship Cover?
Successful recipients will receive:
- Student resource scheme ($180 value)
- $100 credit to be used for school resources. E.g. uniform and excursions.
Who Can Apply?
Eligibility: Open to students currently in Years 7-11.
Types of Scholarships Available
Kingston State College offers scholarships in four key areas: Academic, Cultural, Leadership, and Sports.
Academic Scholarships
Awarded to students who excel in CORE subjects: Mathematics, Science, English, and Humanities. Criteria:
- Demonstrated academic excellence
- Strong commitment to learning and ongoing achievement
- Embodiment of the school's core values
Cultural Scholarships
For students who showcase outstanding talent in Dance, Drama, Music, Visual and Media Arts, or Languages. Criteria:
- Excellence in cultural or arts achievements
- Participation in performances, competitions, or exhibitions
- Commitment to the school's core values
Leadership Scholarships
For students who inspire others, take initiative, and actively contribute to the school and local community. Criteria:
- Proven leadership and mentoring ability
- Active participation in school or community groups
- Demonstrated commitment to service and core values
Sporting Scholarships
For students excelling in sport/s with representation at the MET East level within the last 24 months. Criteria:
- Active participation in their chosen sport/s
- Demonstrated success in high-level competition
- Commitment to the school's core values
Engaged Learner Scholarships
For students who are consistently engaged in school life and demonstrate resilience, effort, and a positive attitude toward learning.Criteria:
- Consistent engagement in classroom activities and school life
- Strong work ethic and perseverance in learning
- Positive attitude and commitment to the school's core values
