This week we had to make some adjustments to classes after our Day 8 audit process. This resulted in some year 9 and 10 classes being combined due to them being too small. Students received new timetables on Monday. We have a number of events coming up:
- Year 7 meet the teachers BBQ – Wednesday 15/2/23 from 3pm in the Sports Hall
- Senior Badge ceremony on Monday 20/2/23
- Drama club Monday afternoons
- Boxing club
- Homework club Monday to Thursday afternoons
- Gala day sport trainings have commenced
- STEM club lunchtimes
- Debating club
We also welcome year 6 visitors from Crestmead State School for a science curriculum visit.
There are so many great things happening here to complement the fabulous classroom learning experiences for our students.
Our students have spent time learning about the “3 Brains Model" in our Reboot program on Mondays. This model is the foundation to developing our students' capacity to self-regulate emotions. I have included an attachment summarising the key ideas. I encourage parents to use the language of the 3 Brains model when talking with their children at home. We will be providing ongoing information on this model throughout the year. Please let us know if you are interested finding out more or attending a parent information session.
